Lookstyle is looking to expand and we need you! Based in Chicago, Illinois, our wardrobe and style consulting firm is currently seeking a few motivated and fashion saavy go-getters to fill the following position:

Marketing & Media Internship: Winter 2012

Lookstyle is seeking an intern who will work directly in the fashion/marketing world.  You must have an interest in gaining valuable first-hand business, sales, fashion industry and/or public relations experience. Interns will establish new connections within the fashion world, other marketing avenues, and relevant media outlets.  This candidate will also be responsible for managing Facebook and Twitter immersion.

This is both a virtual and physical position and is perfect for someone who is looking for a great opportunity with a flexible schedule.

The Right candidate will have:

• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a Marketing or Public Relations field (fashion knowledge is a plus)
• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Fashion.
• Exceptional computer skills including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel on PC & Mac platforms
• Professional connections with essential resources within the Chicago market (PR firms, magazines, marketing firms, advertising firms, etc.)
• An energetic and engaging personality that represents the Lookstyle brand
• Mode of transportation and willingness to work in City of Chicago

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and build relationships with various store buyers, media outlets, publications, online blogs, and social networks.
• Conduct telephone, email and in person meetings with retailers and online outlets with the outcome of promoting and elevating our brand.
• Form collaborations with new vendors, online affiliates, and relevant social media resources.
